Casa Rural El Recuerdo, near Trujillo, is one of the most favoured places to stay in Extremadura for birdwatchers. The service is personalised, with upto- date information. Martin (one of Extremadura’s most experienced birders) can take you out to enjoy the birding even more. We meet the different needs of beginners and the more experienced, especially those doing their own thing.

Mealtimes are flexible, with a buffet breakfast, home-made evening meals using local ingredients including organic vegetables and olive oil from our garden.

The house is traditional, restored to conserve its stone structure, tiled floors and vaulted ground-floor ceilings.
